Why Take the Challenge

Uniting Americans.

Americans are on unsteady ground and are feeling uncertain about the future of our country.

We are more divided than ever.

We've forgotten how to engage with those we disagree with, how to humanize the "other side."

This challenge strikes at the very heart of our nation's problems.

It’s the ability to connect despite our political differences.

How to Participate

Let’s come together. We are Americans, and it's time to stop yelling at our screens and start brewing change, one cup at a time.

Buy a cup of coffee for someone in your network with differing political views (friend, family member, neighbor, work colleague, etc).
Engage in a meaningful conversation with your coffee mate about what the American Dream and the American Promise mean to both of you.
Record a short video (30-60 seconds) with your coffee mate, sharing your experience and the common ground that you found together.
Post your video and a link to the campaign on your social media pages;
Tag and challenge three others to participate;
Use the hashtags: #CoffeeandCourage #FindingCommonGrounds
