Chance Smith
Silicon Valley Brickyard Leader
Chance Smith is a volunteer Brickyard Leader for the Silicon Valley chapter of +MPU.
Chance was born and raised in League City, Texas. He has spent his entire career in the service of the United States Air Force, starting at the age of 18 as an enlisted broadcast journalist and continuing as an intelligence officer. Career highlights include commanding an intelligence detachment and serving as the Aide-de-Camp to the Commander of U.S. Forces in Japan, with multiple deployments during both peacetime and conflict.
Chance holds a BA in Political Science from American Military University and an MA in International Relations from Regent University. He currently serves as a visiting scholar at Stanford University’s Gordian Knot Center for National Security Innovation. He lives in Palo Alto, California with his wife (who happens to be his high school sweetheart and a fellow +MPU volunteer) and their son.
