Gabrielle Newell

Gabrielle Newell is a 2024 Fellow and MPU’s Washington, D.C. Ward 1 Brickyard Captain.

Gabrielle Newell (she/her) is proudly born and raised in Washington DC. In Washington DC, Gabrielle organizes with neighbors to create community-led affordable housing. She believes that everyone deserves a robust support system and organizes in a practice called mutual aid, where neighbors come together to support one another. In her paid work, she works within the federal government to make programs for children and families more equitable and effective. Gabrielle is pleased to participate in her personal capacity and looks forward to organizing gatherings in Washington DC.
